Life is an Echo

Karma exists everything that you present comes back to you, often in the way you gave it out. Do you want your echo to be upbeat and helpful or lazy and sad? More than anything if you give out in a loving way, love will come back to you enriching your life. Be an echo of good and positive.

Finding Positive - Day 7

This is the last day of our week of Finding Positive. I hope that you have been able to find ways to be more positive and improve your levels of happiness.  As the quote says don't give up looking for positive. It is always there even in the most negative of situations. There are so many people out there who have given up and decided to make the ultimate negative choice. Keep bringing positive into your life not only could it help you but it might help others near you whose negativity it bringing them to very low points.

Finding Positive - Day 6

Our parents always told us it was better to give than to receive. We, of course, did not agree as children but as we grow up we find out why. Giving makes us much happier. To see the faces of those who you have given to opens your heart. Giving makes you more positive. When you are always worrying about yourself and what you can get, your attitude becomes more negative. Guess why? You will NEVER get everything you want, even with all the money in the world. People with positive attitudes give more and get much more in return. Take the road less crowded.

Finding Positive - Day 5

First let's define success. Attaining money and things is not successful unless you also give back. So success has more to do with your heart than your pocketbook. Being positive often will bring fulfillment in both areas. But keeping a negative thought process will block the good from finding you. Often those who complain the most about not having love, blessings and success are the ones who just complain most of the time about many things. Dig deep and find that heart that helps others and is upbeat. Once your heart is open good will flow your way.

Finding Positive - Day 4

There is a lot being said in this quote. Things like a positive attitude will help solve your problems. And, being positive in every moment aids in finding life's meaning. Typically positive people have less problems because they are not always searching for them. They will, of course, have some problems but they see the silver lining and keep moving forward. If you are a pessimist most of the time you can find positive as well but it will take a little more searching for you. Even if you can just find one positive thing a day it will improve your overall outlook. Seek positive in each moment and smile!

Finding Positive - Day 3

Mary Lou Retton was the queen of optimism when she won gold at the Olympics. She brighten the day for many people. I don't think we need to be that peppy but simply being positive in our thoughts will bring it out in our words and actions. We all know people who seem to find every negative thing possible to comment on. I often wonder what led them there. Was it from childhood or do they just have higher expectations. Having high expectations is fine as long as you don't take yourself down when they don't work out. Being around negativity can make you depressed and anxious. As much as possible maintain positive and tune out the negativity. Maybe your example will make a change.

Finding Positive - Day 2

Everyone has battles...We all have issues that may slow us down and put us in the negative. You can choose to wallow and let them take you under or find the positive. I am by no means perfect but since my daughter was born almost 10 years ago I have had all sorts of physical issues. In the last 3 or so years I have been dealing with one issue that is constant but currently is fairly under control. However, I learned during the years it took to find a minimum solution that I could wallow in it and have my daughter remember a weak mother or I could find positive. My positive has changed who I am. I now focus on spiritual more but not really religion. I do meditation which has been a wonderful tool in this battle. I have learned Reiki and use it often. I am as much as possible pushing through each day by looking for positive.  It is hard to be positive but know that if you fall into the negative you will never overcome the issues that you are dealing with. They will only get worse. Find positive in the little things and it will come in the bigger ones.

Finding Positive - Day 1

During the next 7 days we will focus on my personal motto of Finding Positive. So many people focus on the negative that they miss the good things around them. For those of us seeking positive it can be difficult to be around such people and maintain our search. This week we will help each other to keep looking for the good. As the quote says positive anything is so much better than negative.  All problems have a positive or something to learn. Keep looking for it and it will come to you.

Letting Go - Day 7

Our final day of Letting Go is here. I hope that you have received some knowledge that will help you as you go forward. As this last quote states we need to be cautious that we are not being weighted down by something that belongs to someone else. We can get frustrated with other people in how they live their lives or do things at work or in other areas. However, ultimately their issues are not ours to carry. We have to let those frustrations go and remember that we can only do what we can to improve a situation and then move on from it.

If you have a "friend" who constantly burdens you with their concerns and never listens to yours then they are not a friend but a weight around your shoulders. You may need to let them go to bring peace back to your life. Use meditation to take the weight away and to focus on what is most important to you.

Letting Go - Day 6

Use the past knowledge to move forward. Don't carry it around with you. Send it to be free from your thoughts. Meditation often begins with full deep breaths. Use these to let go of the excess of your past. Keep the lessons but let the pain and anger go.

Letting Go -Day 5

Letting go is a tough proposition. Most of the time it means that we have to forgive ourselves or over come anger from the past. Even if we could time travel the past is the past and probably can not be changed. Looking in the moment and preparing for the future is the best way to let go of what weighs you down from the past. Of course, telling yourself to let go and actually doing it are two very different things. Meditation asks that you be in the moment and let go of what happened even a second ago. Be free in thoughts and deeds.

Letting Go - Day 4

Are you graceful in letting go? Do you hang on to things that are someone else's worry? Often we take on the worries of the world and dwell in them instead of letting them go and finding solutions. Don't be a hoarder of worries. The world needs us to find ways to make it better not to hang on to old issues. Clear your mind and worries will ease away. Clear your mind and you can create solutions.

Letting Go - Day 3

Do you allow the past to haunt you? Only you can do that. We all have things that we wish we had done differently. But reliving them constantly will eat up the rest of you life. You have to let go and acknowledge that it was a mistake but that we all make them. Forgive yourself! Meditation can help you free yourself of these past calls that cause you to not live in the moment. Again, meditation is not about having a mind empty of thoughts but training your mind to let thoughts go so you can focus on what is important. Block the calls from the past and only accept those that tell you about today.

Letting Go - Day 2

How often do we go through a day and never think or do anything creative? So many times we just go automatically through the day without much thought. Have you ever driven home and not remembered any of the trip? That is how a day without creativity works. Even if all you do is think about something you can change or improve then you are being creative. When meditating you can focus on building your creativity with clearer thoughts. Go to the edge of the cliff and look over. Maybe you can build a parachute, a slide or a balloon to make it out into the beyond.

Letting Go -Day 1

Well the phone thing is not working out so I am back via a real computer. We will now do 7 days on Letting Go. This could be letting go of a bad relationship, letting go of hurt and pain, or letting go of many things that hold you back. The quote above is poignant in that it reminds us that so often we keep trying to stay afloat when we just need to stand up and get out of the water. That does not make us weak or a quitter. It means that we have let go of what is dragging us under and are reaching for clarity of mind and spirit. So meditate today on not drowning. Seek that life preserver and get up on dry land.

Managing Stress Day 7

Be a jewel when dealing with stress but don't let the pressure make you into one overnight. Use tools such as meditation to slowly reduce your stress. You want your diamond to take longer than even one made in nature. Shine bright but be ok with some charcoal if that means you have less stress.

Managing Stress Day 6

Due to a new phone that is not working with the blog the way I need it to, I am behind by a couple of days. I apologize for the delay and hopefully we are back on track. We are on day 6 of Managing Stress and our quote is the ultimate answer. If we carry stress constantly with us and allow it to depress us then we affect our health and our well being. Don't carry it on your back, your shoulder or your head. Carry is in a wagon if you must so it is easier to pull behind you. However, putting it in the trash and letting it be carried away is better overall. Meditation allows for you to remove the stress and not carry it with you. Try it today!

Managing Stress Day 5

Today we will review some things to reduce stress. All of us live in a world of constant movement where taking time for yourself can be seen as frivolous. But as parents, spouses and friends it is important to have some alone time. Just take one or two of the above and try to add them to your life. Stress will be less.

V

This week I will be working along with the Calm app and their Seven Days of Managing Stress. http://calm.com/app

Choice in our thoughts is important in our overall view of stress. Often we create our stress. Use your thoughts to create relaxation and peace. Stop yourself when your thoughts increase your stress and your body's reaction to it.

Happiness Day 6

So what we learn here is that you are not happy when you are angry. Not surprising. So how do we limit the anger in our lives?  First, I think we have to accept people as they are. Second, we should accept the things we can not change. We really can only change ourselves. Choosing anger is then something you can then choose not to do. Meditation can help you release the anger more easily and get back that minute of unhappiness.

Happiness Day 4

As we have talked about, happiness comes from within not from things or other people. You choose to be happy or not. So why not choose happiness today and as many days as possible. It will improve your relationships. It will improve your health. Meditating today on choosing happiness even when I am not feeling well.
